Insulation helps you to maintain the required temperature all year round, preventing cold winters and overheating in summer.
How much money you save on building supplies depends on several factors, e.g. on the type of insulation and the size of the house. In addition, depending on the construction of the house, you have to use more or less insulation. The advantage is that you don’t normally need a building permit to install insulation measures that ultimately pay off.
Traditionally, insulation is used in homes with extreme climates – too hot or too cold. Insulation is important to maintain the living temperature in the house. In warm areas, solar radiation is the largest source of thermal energy.
Heat-proofing materials are also called soundproofing. It contains methods for reducing the sound pressure relative to the specified sound source and the specified receiver. There are two reasons for sound insulation: one is to improve the sound in the room and the other is to reduce the sound in and out of the adjacent room.
Fire and Heat Insulation
This is a method of using insulation materials to make buildings fireproof. Fire insulation is a passive fire protection method and an essential part of structural fire protection. The aim is to prevent or control the spread of fires by limiting the destruction of the building and providing more time for a safer evacuation of the residents of the building.
The shock insulation serves to dampen shocks and vibrations. This is particularly useful in industrial and manufacturing buildings to reduce the vibration of heavy machinery, which can put a lot of pressure on the building structure.
Advantages of Commercial Building Insulation
Compliance with the latest energy efficiency regulations for building supplies can improve energy efficiency. The build code only meets the legal minimum requirements and cannot bring any customer benefit. In addition to using high-quality insulation materials for commercial buildings, it is important to provide more energy-efficient, quieter and healthier buildings.
Higher Energy Efficiency, Lower Energy Costs
As energy costs rise, customers and regulators are aware of the effects of carbon. Cost savings are a top priority for every company. Many companies use energy efficiency to manage overhead costs.
Meet the Comfort needs of the Occupants
The temperature control in commercial buildings ensures that the residents feel comfortable. Thermal comfort is the main reason for passenger satisfaction. Although central control of heating and cooling appears to be a simpler solution for temperature control in buildings, there is a high likelihood of temperature fluctuations without proper thermal insulation and air sealing. Buildings whose temperature changes significantly can cause dissatisfaction among residents.
There are different materials and qualities, but in general, high-quality building supplies insulators consist of products with a structure similar to wool that can trap tiny air. Fabrics like cotton and hemp are good insulators, which means that strong curtains insulate the house. In addition, wood products such as hardboard and wooden doors are good insulators to keep your house warm. There are also spray foam solutions that are usually based on polyurethane. The foam can be used to fill the roof, can also be used for roof tiles and can also use glue around the doors and windows.
Types of Insulation
Depending on the type of wall, you can use the following:
a) Cavity wall insulation layer (there is a gap between the inner and outer sheets). The insulator is drilled into the wall and then refilled with cement.
b) Robust wall insulation material (no cavity inside). If the wall is thick, you can choose between interior and exterior insulation. The outer layer of insulation usually covers the entire outer wall of the building, while the inner layer of insulation is usually applied to the interior.
a) Loft, insulated immediately under the roof. This is more expensive than the attic, but is usually a better insulator.
b) Attic, insulated just above the top floor ceiling.
Insulation of Doors and Windows
Make sure you have double (or triple) glass doors and windows! This means that there must be at least two glass plates a few millimeters apart, not one glass. Double glazing can also protect you from outside noise and make your house warm and quiet.
This can be very expensive depending on the type of floor you are using and determine if you really need it. In general, modern houses have insulators under the surface of the concrete floor, but older houses with false floors require some investment.
