All India Pre-Veterinary Test commonly known as AIPVT is the popular national level entrance test which is conducted by the Veterinary Council of India. This entrance test is conducted for admission to B.V.Sc.&A.H Courses. Through this test, 15% of All India Quota seats in the Veterinary Colleges in India and 85% state quota seats in the veterinary colleges of participating states are being filled. The examination is held once in a year. The application forms for the examination will release in second week of January every year. The entrance examination will be held in 2nd week of May 2017.
Important Dates-
- Online application form will release in second week of January, 2017
- Last date to submit the online application form will fall in first week of March, 2017
- Admit card will be made available for the purpose of download in second week of April, 2017
- Exam will be held in second week of May, 2017
- Result will be declared in last week of May, 2017
- Counseling will initiate on first week of August, 2017
Eligibility-
The interested candidates have to fulfill all the mentioned eligibility criteria-
Candidates are required to the citizen of India
Candidate should be of 17 years in age as on 31st December of the academic year of the admission
The upper age limit for the candidates seeking admission under 15% all India quote is 25 years and reserved categories will get the relaxation up to 5 years
Candidates should have cleared 12th class as a qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as main subjects with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate to qualify to appear for the entrance exam
Candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible for 15% all India quota seats
Application Form-
The application form will completely be processed through online mode
Candidates can apply for the entrance exam from the second week of January, 2017. The last date for filling the application form without late fee will be in the first week of February, 2017
Candidates have to fill the personal details in registration form along with providing the contact number and a valid e-mail ID
Once registration is done candidate has to navigate the online application form to fill all the required information regarding academics, address and upload the scanned images of photograph and signature or thumb impression
After this the candidate has to make the payment of the fee and submit the application form online only.
Application Fee-
The cost of application form will be Rs.1500 and Rs.750 will be the late fee for general and OBC Candidates and Rs.750 and Rs.750 as late fee for SC/ST/PH candidates
Exam Pattern-
Question paper of AIPVT Entrance exam will consist of 180 multiple choice questions
Medium of question paper will be in English and Hindi both
Each correct answer will be awarded with 4 marks
For every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted as negative marking
Exam will be conducted for duration of 3 hours.
