4 Ways to Take Care of Our Ceramic Tiles

When go to a bathroom, we dream a nice, invigorating shower in a wonderful situation. But when guests go to our bathroom and turn on the lights, they could have a strangled shriek instead. Smooth and clean ceramic tile would brighten up any kitchen and bathroom. People love that pearl-like shine and glossy finish. But, dirty and moldy ceramic can be a huge turnoff. This is especially true for anyone who has a particular fetish about bathroom or kitchen that’s spotlessly clean. The countertop of kitchen is often tiled and we should re-think about putting ingredients and food on top of it. The surface can be encrusted with billions of germs that potentially make us sick.

Unfortunately, getting help from professional cleaners could cost us so much money. The money that we can better spend on worthwhile purposes and items. So, it would be really helpful for us to properly care for any ceramic tile surface in our house: Here are things that we should do:

  1. Wipe them clean every day: This should be quite easy to do, in the kitchen, bathroom and other areas in our house. It shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes to do. Wiping a tiled surface is an easy thing to do, we only need some water and a clean wiping cloth. The bathroom should be cleaned once a day and the kitchen surface should be wiped after use. This is a good way to keep debris and dirt from accumulating. To prevent the formation of milder, wet spots should be dried with sponge or cloth.
  2. Use felt and pads: Our furniture could be made of plastic, aluminum, metal and wood. Regardless of the material, legs of the furniture could cause wear and tear. We should place felt and pads to the legs of the furniture. This will protect our furniture, while making movement and shuffling easier to do.
  3. Protect with mats: There are places in our houses where heavy pivoting activities may occur. This could happen around the bathroom door, in front of the kitchen sink and at the doorstep. Mats with good quality should be able to protect our tiles from friction, weight and pressure. Mats should also be able to reduce oil, sand, grit and oil that can be deposited in our tiles. Mats should be washed properly so we could remove the deposits. Eventually, mats will wear out, so we should replace them whenever possible.
  4. Use damp mop: Damp mop should be helpful during the daily wiping regimen. Instead of using regular detergent, we should consider using a solution of water and a bit of vinegar. The slightly acidic solution could deter the growth of mildew and fungus. Soaps could actually cause discoloration and dull colors.
