Renewable energy is namely the wind, solar, tidal, and geothermal form of energies. They come from a limitless source of energy such as the Sun, seas, and heat inside the Earth. Unlike fossil fuels, renewable sources are great for meeting the world’s energy demands.
These infinite sources are environmentally friendly and do not contribute to pollution in terms of toxic gasses and chemicals. Plus the reason for consuming renewable sources is that not everywhere on the planet you will find fossil fuels. Now if something is rare, the prices are bound to rise steeply.
As mentioned above, we will now explore many such reasons as to why renewable sources should be our preference for generating energy:

This is no secret that as human beings we are becoming less and less considerate about our atmosphere. We are steadily and have been for a long time now releasing CO2 into our atmosphere whereby trapping heat and driving the globe’s temperature insane (read global warming).

As opposed to a non-renewable form of energy, renewable sources do not entail any such risk to society and planet.

As is obvious and previously mentioned that non-renewable sources cause adverse impacts on health. Air and water pollution emitted by coal and natural gas plants alone is associated with breathing problems, nervous system damage, heart attack, and cancer.
It has been found that if renewable energy is substituted for fossil fuels it can reduce untimely death in individuals, lost workdays (days missed due to work related illness), and overall healthcare expenses. The total trade and industry impact associated with these health impacts of fossil fuels is considerable.
Whilst on the other hand, the wind, solar and hydroelectric systems of renewable power emit no pollutants. Although, geothermal and biomass sources of energy do but are significantly low on emissions as opposed to coal and natural gas. Similarly, in case of the wind and solar power, no water pollution either.
3. Unlimited Supply
Provided constraints in harnessing these energy sources are a reality, they still are inexhaustible power springs and our world’s most viable option for future.
4. More Jobs
The dearth of jobs in the world is the biggest drawback of the 21st century. People are qualified and still don’t have platforms to practice their trade. Those who are not so literate and work for wages tell a different story altogether.
It is suggested that with the adoption of renewable energy system labor intensive jobs will become more available. This will serve as a chain reaction and will give birth to local businesses to flourish. Also, they will experience increased income for meeting their living and other related expenditures.
On a macro level, local government will collect property and income taxes as part of renewable energy installations setup from owners. Furthermore, proceeds in the form of taxes can be utilized for the development of rural areas and for the welfare of general public. Hence, economy booms.
5. Steady Energy Prices
Renewable energy sources can prove helpful in stabilizing energy prices all around the world. How? Because the cost of renewable energy tech has plummeted over time and may drop even more. According to Solar Market Insight Report 2012 Q3, the regular price of a solar panel has plunged nearly 60 percent since 2011. As per Federal Production Tax Credit for Wind Energy, generating electricity from the wind dropped more than 20 percent from 2010-12.
The prices are expected to go down further. With time, the market for renewable energy will grow and firms progressively will benefit from it by generating more power at reduced costs.
To sum up, with renewable forms of energy at our disposal, we will survive on this planet we call home.
