New Chapter for Ewanick with the Fisker Automotive

Fisker Automotive

As we all know General Motors fired this old man Joel Ewanick who quitted Facebook and spurned the Superbowl and spokesman Greg Martin had said in an email that, “He failed to meet the expectations the company has of its employees,”. But this man is with another mission in a different style, which is to assist the Fisker Automotive who is the creator of the hybrid luxury plug-ins to gear up into the market exclusively. Joel Ewanick was previously GM of the U.S. marketing the Hyundai and Nissan Motors and joined Grand Motors in the year 2010 as U.S. marketing chief, and was promoted later that year to manage the entire global marketing.

Fisker AutomotiveHe was fired from GM in July over the handling of a controversial sponsorship deal with English soccer club Manchester United. Responsible for the multi billion dollar shoots up marketing business success for the General Motors and now he is entering the second phase of his venture. Ewanick who is 52 years old and was the former global marketing boss of the Grand Motors is now been hired by Frisker as the  interim chief of global sales and marketing. And the company announced that it is planning to permanently replace the position of the veteran Richard Beattie, 58 after his retirement.

The company said that Ewanick is working as a marketing consultant with Fiker for several weeks. The Fisker’s have already appointed Beattie who was formerly serving Jaguar, Mazda and Ford as their chief commercial officer at the end of last December. And since he is planning to retire the company thinks Ewanick would be a perfect option for them to excel in their industry. Tony Posawatz the CEO of the Fisker said to the reporters, “We would like to thank Richard for his valuable contribution in helping to grow the Fisker brand and sales in global markets over the past 12 months, and wish him well in his retirement,”“As we seek to appoint a long-term successor, there is no one better than Joel, with his wealth of motor industry experience and knowledge to guide us through this interim period. I am delighted to welcome him to the Fisker team,”.

Posawatz himself was working as a chief engineer at the Grand Motors’ Chevrolet Volt, when Ewanick was the GM of that company and so it is another history in the company’s profile. The management team of Fisker has seen many changes all through the decades. The company’s first sedan the Karma has faced certain issues regarding the quality and reliability during these changes were made.  Tom LaSorda, who was a former Chrysler CEO, was replaced in the position as chief executive in this August along with Dana Holdings Corp executive as chief financial officer and LaSorda, who became the CEO for the founder of the company Henrik Fisker.  At this moment Fisker is working and striving hard in the development of the Atlantic which is its second set of vehicle. The Midwest close to Detroit might be enthroned with the new technical center by the coming spring season. Fisker is all set to develop the Atlantic since he has raised more than $100 million in this fresh new sedan.
