In addition to all these things you should also think about getting latex gloves, a mask to cover your nose and mouth and clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on. Not only will these things protect you from breathing in an getting stained with the paint, but it’s also a relief knowing that any spills you may have won’t ruin your good clothes.
Plan Ahead

- Brushes
- Rollers
- A hammer
- A screwdriver

And that’s just a few of the things you’ll need. It’s also a good idea to get some wall tape so you can shield off the areas you don’t want to get any paint in. When you get home, clear away all the furniture in the house that could get touched by paint. Anything that’s on the wall needs to be removed. Going Through the Motions

Completing the Task
Not all walls are going to be smooth and ready for painting. Sometimes a wall will have a large hole or there could be a crack caused by years of use. These should be fixed before any proper painting can begin. Any local hardware store will direct you with what you need to fix the wall. One quick solution is to use fiberglass tape or spackle to fill holes of various sizes. Once it’s fixed properly, then you can start to work on painting the area.
